Ipod - Ultimate Portable Mp3 Player

The Ipod is bar none the most popular portable media and mp3 player in America, and quite possibly the world. When Apple first released the ipod, it was a revolutionary device, both in function and looks. Nothing could compare to the ultra-portability and sleekness of the first generation ipod. Not only did it offer several gigabytes of space (unprecedented for it’s size at the time), it came with a neat little scroll wheel and awesome sound that was virtually untouched in the competitive market.

Fast forward several years and ipod generations, Apple’s little mp3 player has matured quite a bit, and still has the market cornered. It offers superior battery life, user friendly interface, sleek design, unlimited color options, great sound, video capabilities, and competitive pricing. Other competitors, such as Sony, Creative labs, Microsoft, and many others have tried to surpass the uniqueness of the ipod, but few have reached the level. Even today with so many portable media players on the market, people still swarm to the ipod.

Generally, when you think of a portable media player, the first thought that comes to mind is a picture of a cute little ipod. And that’s not going to change any time soon.
